No School for Students Friday, March 13
There will be no school for students in the School District of Washington on Friday, March 13, for a staff professional development and work day.
March 11: 7 White Team registering for 8th grade and the volleyball game is in Pacific at 5:30 pm.
Due to the weather today, March 11, Orchestra will NOT be walking to the Homestead at Hickory View. The performance has been moved to tomorrow, March 12 during 7th hour.
March 12: End of 3rd quarter, JA Biz Town field trip, Stuco meets at 8:00 am in Mrs. Faust’s room. Art Club, Brain Bowl and Gamer’s Club meet from 3:30-4:30 pm, and the volleyball game is in New Haven at 5:30 pm.
March 13: No School
March 14: 7th grade volleyball tournament at WHS and the 8th grade volleyball team is in the Owensville tournament.
March 30-April 6: No School
WHS Jaywalkers Dance Open Gym is March 20th from 6-8 pm in the Little Blue Jay Gym at WHS. This is open to 6th grade and up. Come find out what it takes to be a Jaywaker.
Current 6th & 7th Graders: If interested in trying out for WMS cheer for next year, open gyms are March 24 & April 14 in the WHS Little Blue Jay Gym from 6:00-7:30 pm. Tryouts are April 28-30 from 6:00-7:30 pm also in the Little Blue Jay Gym. Pick up a flyer in the office with additional information and to register for tryouts. For tryouts, please create an athletic account on the WHS website and upload your sports physical. You will not be able to tryout unless this is complete. A community tour of the Washington High School campus in relation to Proposition W took place on Tuesday evening, March 10.

Registration is open for the 21th Annual Jordan Scheer Memorial Children’s Relay for Life.

Family Reading Night, a free community event, was held on Friday, March 6, at Washington Middle School. An estimated 800 people attended the event.
