Madison Brune Named Board of Education Student Representative
Madison Brune, a junior at Washington High School, is the new student adviser for the School District of Washington’s Board of Education.

Students interested in trying out for volleyball: Due to reported incoming weather, please make sure you and your parents/guardians are keeping an eye on ParentSquare in case there are some changes to the tryout schedule next week. As soon as we know something, we will post something.
Band Concert on January 25 is cancelled and rescheduled for February 1 at 3:00 pm in the WHS Gym.
Congratulations to the following WMS students who were cast in the WHS spiring play, The Iliad, The Odyssey, and all of Greek Mythology in 99 Minutes or Less! Students are Logan Wheeler, Wyatt Tapley, Rachel Hill, Ellie Wells, Amelia Timpe, and Genevieve Temme.
Blue Jays at the Blues Game: Each ticket sold on our unique WMS link, the Blues will donate a portion to us. Please spread the word around to your friends, family, etc... Volleyball tryouts are at the end of January. Watch Parent/Square notices if inclement weather. Remember to create an account and upload student’s sports physical to the athletic website before tryouts. You will not be able to tryout until this is completed. Paper copies of the physical will not be accepted. Sign-up sheets are in the office.

January 29: Art Club meets 3:30-4:30 pm in the art room, Brain Bowl meets 3:30-4:30 pm in Mr. Dennis’ room, and Gamer’s Club meets 3:30-4:30 pm in Mrs. Young’s room.
Any WMS student interested in tech crew for the 2026 spring play, please sign up with Ms. Mathes in the counseling office.
Washington High School will hold its Curriculum Fair on Wednesday, February 4, for 8th grade parents and students. The event offers families the chance to explore programs and courses available at WHS and includes a meet-and-greet for incoming parochial families, enrollment meetings for both parochial and public school families, and an Early College Program informational session. Meet in the CJB at 5:00 pm and the curriculum fair starts at 6:15 pm in the WHS gym.
The Glow Together School Dance is February 20th from 4:00-6:00 pm in the WMS gym and cafeteraia. Tickets are $10 early bird until February 1st and $15 from February 1st-20th. Tickets include entry, glow items, snacks, and water. Soda, Bubblers, and face paint will be available for purchase. Turn in permission slips and money to Room 2243, Mrs. Faust , or the office. The weight room will be available Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays after school from 3:30-4:45 pm.

Nominations are being accepted for the WINGS Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Person of the Year awards for the School District of Washington. Nominations are due Friday, February 20, 2026.
