The deadline to order a yearbook for this year is February 27th. Pick up a flyer from the office.
February 23-27: District-Wide Food Drive. If interested in donating, WMS is assigned Mac & Cheese.
February 23-27: FFA Week Spirit Days
Monday: Favorite Tractor Shirt Day (John Deere green or IH red? Represent your favorite brand colors.)
Tuesday: Farmer Day
Wednesday: Camo Day (no hats, no face paints, no face masks)
Thursday: FFA Shirt/Blue & Gold Day
Friday: Hat Day ($1 in the cafeteria before school)
There will be an FFA Week coloring contest with prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place! Coloring sheets are on the FFA bulletin Board and in the office. Return the coloring pages to Mrs. Bade or Mrs. Veltrop by Friday the 27th.
Guess how many seeds are in the jars in the cafeteria for an FFA Week prize on Monday, Wednesday and Friday!
February 23: Volleyball game in St. Clair at 5:30 pm.
February 24: Volleyball game at home vs Pacific at 5:30 pm.
Epsilon Beta Book Club meets February 24 from 3:30-4:30 in the library.
Track season begins March 9th. Students interested in participating must submit an agreement form and complete the registration process through the athletic department at the high school along with uploading a sports physical. If you have any questions, please see Coach Hornback or Coach Haddox.
Fundraiser for Blue Jays at the Blues Game on March 10th. Each ticket sold on our unique WMS link, the Blues will donate a portion to us. Please spread the word around to your friends, family, etc. Use social media if you’d like. It’s Wayne Gretzky bobblehead giveaway as well. Link to purchase tickts can be found in Parentsquare.
WHS Jaywalkers Dance Open Gym is March 20th from 6-8 pm in the Little Blue Jay Gym at WHS. This is open to 6th grade and up. Come find out what it takes to be a Jaywaker.

Markie Lampkin has been named assistant principal at Washington High School, effective July 1, 2026. The Board of Education approved the hire on Wednesday, February 18.
