Washington High School Scholar Bowl Team Places Second at GAC Tournament
The Washington High School scholar bowl team registered a second-place finish at the GAC Tournament on Saturday, March 14, at North Point High School.

Congratulations to Mrs. Faust and our STUCO members for representing WMS AND earning the Honor Council Award over the weekend at the Stuco State Convention in Branson! The Missouri Association of Student Councils awards schools for outstanding performance as a council. Applications for the Honor Council Award are submitted to MASC. The award is criteria-based and if a school meets all of the prescribed criteria, that school receives the award. This award was established to honor student councils that have a comprehensive program that promotes student activities and student leadership. The Honor Council Award is the highest honor that Missouri Association of Student Councils bestows upon one of its members." (MASC) This is the first time that the middle school has been awarded as an honor council!
March 24: 8th grade Career Center Tour, Epsilon Beta Book Club meets 3:30-4:30 pm in the library, and FFA meets 3:30-5:30 pm iin Mrs. Bade’s room.
March 26: Stuco meets at 8:00 am. Art Club, Brain Bowl, and Gamer’s Club all meet from 3:30-4:30 pm.
March 27: 7 White field trip; firehouse and on-campus activities.
March 28: WMS Brain Bowl Tournament.
Current 6th, 7th, & 8th Graders: If interested in trying out for cheer next year, open gyms are March 24 & April 14 in the WHS Little Blue Jay Gym from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Current 6th & 7th grade cheer tryouts for next school year are April 28, 29 & 30 from 6:00-7:30 pm. Current 8th grade cheer tryouts for the high school next year are April 21st from 5:00-7:00 pm, April 22nd from 5:00-6:30 pm, and April 23rd from 5:00-7:00 pm. Pick up a flyer in the office for detailed information and scan the QR code to register for tryouts. You will need to create an athletic account on the WHS website and upload your sports physical.
