School Board Filing Opens; Three Candidates File on Opening Morning
The School District of Washington’s school board filing opened on Tuesday, December 9, at 8 a.m. It will remain open until Tuesday, December 30, at 5 p.m.
Thank you to all who brought in food items for Loving Hearts! We collected over 2,500 items! The most ever and we are so excited! Thanks again for supporting the community!
The Middle School Weight Room Program officially began Dec. 1st. The weight room will be available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday after school from 3:30-4:45. Students will walk over to the high school together after dismissal to the garage door behind the school. Coach Bickert or another weight coach will be there waiting for you. Parents will need to pick you up in front of the high school gym at the end of each session.
Penny Wars started December 1 and runs through the 12th. Prizes will be given out to the winning Team. Money donated goes to the United Way. Check out the flyers in the hallway for more information.
Candy Cane Grams will be sold Dec. 8-12 during homeroom. It’s $1 to send a candy cane gram to a friend and spread holiday cheer.
This next Epsilon Beta Book Club meeting is December 9th from 3:30-4:30 in the library. The Dec. 16th meeting is cancelled.
Art Club is CANCELLED Dec. 11th.
Brain Bowl and Gamer’s Club meet Dec. 11th from 3:30-4:30 pm.

Dec 9 Tree Top Tuesday: Deck yourself out with all the holiday hats/headbands/etc.
Dec10 Mistletoes: Get your festive footwear out.
Dec 11 Deck the Halls: Wear a holiday shirt of your choosing.
Dec 12 Winter Wonderland: Wear white, icy blue or silver. Bring on snow!
Dec 15 Holiday Character: Dress as your favorite holiday character; Santa, elf, Grinch, caroler, scrooge.
Dec 16 Holiday Movie Mashup: Dress as your favorite holiday movie character.
Dec 17 Grinch Day: Grinch it up with green or dress as a Whoville character.
Dec 18 Holiday Sweater: Wear your ugliest holiday sweater.
Dec. 19 Twas the Night Before Break: It’s the night before break. The kids are all tired. Wear cozy pajamas.
